Coordinating and promoting a centralized community events calendar for Orleans was a major agenda item two years ago for the district. Creating easy access to a centralized community calendar was endorsed by community organizations and attendees at a Roundtable Discussion held at Town Hall. The objective was to make it easy to learn about assets and activities in Orleans for residents and visitors alike.

Good progress has been made in more prominent access to the sophisticated and already-existing events calendars available on the Orleans Town website for Town boards, commissions, and committees ( and the calendar available on the website of the Orleans Chamber of Commerce for community events open to the public.  Submission to or access of these community events calendars is open to the public 24/7 online.

These websites provide comprehensive information and technology, including features for automatic notification about meetings and agenda (on the Town website) and searchable access to find events by kind and date (on the Chamber website).  The Orleans Community Events Calendar is hosted by and through the Orleans Chamber of Commerce which resides at 44 Main Street, Orleans.  The calendar is online and sponsors are invited to submit information by clicking  The calendar is searchable and available to Chamber members and non-members and community organizations.
