Addison Gallery Arts Week Kick-Off Reception - 43 S. Grand Opening of “Pathfinders: Women of Plymouth” Exhibition - Orleans Historical Society/Centers for Culture and History in Orleans, 3 River Rd., 1:00 - 4:00 PM, Who were the women who shaped early Plymouth Colony? Three short films in the “Pathfinders'' exhibition illustrate the lives of Wampanoag women, including two historical figures as well as an interview from a modern Wampanoag perspective with Tribal member Paula Peters. Other mini-films reflect the experiences of Pilgrim women who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620. The exhibition is presented in partnership with Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, MA, which is celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2024. Films were created in association with the Wampanoag-owned production company SmokeSygnals.

Admission $5.00. Light refreshment served.

Floral Still Life in Pastels Workshop with Rosalie Nadeau - Old Firehouse Community Center, 44 Main St. 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM. Sign up now for this rare opportunity to take a pastel painting class with award winning local Orleans artist Rosalie Nadeau. An inspiring instructor, she generously teaches workshops letting light be the subject. No experience necessary. Wednesday April 24th:

Nature Drawing with Mary Richmond - Old Firehouse Community Center, 44 Main St., 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.  Spend a fun 2 hours with nature columnist and artist, Mary Richmond, exploring basic attributes of bird species using simple drawing techniques.  Please bring a sketchbook and #2 Pencil.  All experience levels are welcome. Drumming Workshop for Middle School Students - Old Firehouse Community Center, 44 Main St., 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Join the Drumma Queens for a lively, fun afternoon learning the basics of West African Drumming.  Drums and snacks are provided. Thursday April 25th:

Operation Denim Deconstruction with Sandbar Denim - Old Firehouse Community Center, 44 Main St. 5:30 - 7:00 PM, Up-cycled Denim Art workshop, come explore your creativity. Suitable for ages 13 and up.

EastWind Gallery - 34 Main St., Thurs - Sat, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Eastwind Gallery is opening for the season on Thursday, April 25 with a special  group exhibit entitled Awakenings.
